2026 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS (WCH) SELECTION MATCH FOR THE NON-OLYMPIC EVENTS PLUS PTOs FOR AIR, RAPID FIRE AND SPORT PISTOL

This USA Shooting (USAS) pistol competition’s priority is to serve as the Selection Match for the Non-Olympic events for the 2026 World Championships, however it also includes Preliminary Tryouts (PTO) for the Olympic events. It consists of squadded outdoor matches, with no finals, fired on paper targets and one indoor event fired on electronic targets: Air Pistol.  The non-Olympic Outdoor events are Center Fire, Standard and Free and will be conducted per the USA Shooting Team selection procedures. Squadding priority in those events and their Preliminary Event Training (PET) goes to those athletes vying for selection to represent the USA.  Standard USA Shooting rules for pistol PTOs will govern the Olympic events of Air, Sport and Rapid Fire which are not events included in this World Championship Team selection process and do not have any PET.
